Eric Newman

Eric Newman has been a presence in the Manhattan Basketball Community for the last 8 years. Before taking over the basketball program at Claremont Preparatory Coach Newman spent 3 years coaching at the Fieldston School in Riverdale. Coach Newman got his start in high school coaching at Bellmore JFK High School on Long Island. Coach Newman was a Camp and Clinic Director for Nike Basketball in China in 5 different cities including the China Elite camp Guangzhou. In past summers, Coach Newman has directed the Chainlink Basketball Clinic, Basketball City camps and done coaching clinics with David Lee of the New York Knicks, Brian Scalabrine of the Boston Celtics and Coach Steve Donahue of the 2008-2009 Ivy League League Champion Cornell Big Red.
