If you are interested in joining the Manhattan Power there will be tryouts on Saturday December 5th and Saturday December 12th 2009 before winter vacation and team practices and scrimmages starting in January leading up to the 2010 spring season.

Since the creation of Five-Star Basketball New York this past fall we have worked with more than one hundred student athletes in various workout, instruction, and training settings. In January 2009 after 4 months filled with instruction sessions, pre-season workouts and training all over the city we began opening our gym in downtown Manhattan to public school student athletes at no cost where they have begun to receive much of the guidance and instruction that they both need and deserve. As we predicted the kids became hungry for competition which is one of the reasons why we chose to create the “Manhattan Power” which is our first group of teams stemming from Five-Star Basketball New York. This spring our three teams have begun playing games and tournaments in the tri-state area. Our 8th/9th grade boys team, 5th grade girls team and 6th grade boys team have all made a commitment to the program and themselves.
